2010 NHL Alumni Week Coming Soon

This year we are honoring Guy Lafleur for his tremendous skills on the ice and involved with so many charities and communities off the ice.
The Keith McCreary 7th Man Award recipient this year is Dick Irvin – who does not require an introduction.

NHL Alumni 'Man of the Year'
A former player who has applied the intangibles of perseverance, commitment and teamwork developed through the game into a successful post-career transition. This person is an ambassador for the game at all levels through his continued commitment in community and charitable causes.

Keith McCreary '7th Man Award'
The NHL Alumni recognizes a member of the NHL family who has contributed behind the scenes for a significant period of time. This Award, on behalf of the NHL Alumni, gives praise to the individual that has been a consummate professional at his/her job every night, and has never been recognized for a job well done. This Award is named in honor and memory of Keith McCreary, Chairman of the NHL Alumni Association who passed away December 9, 2003.

8Th Annual NHL Alumni Week coming soon...
On Monday October 4th the NHL Alumni is kicking off its annual Alumni Week with the 8th annual Gala Dinner followed by the Celebrity Golf Classic at Glen Abbey Golf Club on Tuesday and closing with 'Grapes with the Greats' on Wednesday evening.

The 5th Annual Scotiabank Pro-Am Hockey Tournament, in support of the Gordie & Colleen Howe Fund for Alzheimer’s at Baycrest, is the ultimate hockey experience for individuals aged 25 years and up. This one-of-a-kind event allows everyday hockey enthusiasts to team up with former NHL greats in the battle against Alzheimer’s and related disorders.

Toronto Plays For Haiti
TORONTO PLAYS FOR HAITI
Raising Money To Support the Victims of the Disaster in Haiti
WHEN: 8pm, Tuesday Feb. 2nd
WHERE: The Sound Academy(formerly The Docks) 11 Polson
WHO: Some of the biggest bands in Canada today and all local artists…Ill Scarlett, The Trews, Die Mannequin, The Salads, Moneen. More acts to be confirmed.
Local celebrities and athletes as well in attendance
We’re asking for a suggested $20 donation and hope to pack the place to capacity of 2500 people with all proceeds going to right to Unicef. The goal is to raise over $20,000 through the greater good of Toronto residents…and with the federal government offering to match dollar for dollar, we could double that amount!
No one is receiving any money. The building venue fees have been waived. Everything generated and earned will go right to Haitian relief.
